Divisional Bar Meetings on Chapter 13 Practice Procedures in Judge Waites Cases

As a supplement to the Court’s training session scheduled for Tomorrow, Friday, November 17, 2017, Judge Waites, along with the Chapter 13 Trustees, Keenan Stephenson and Jimmy Wyman, invite the members of the Bar and their staff to attend divisional Bar meetings to address specific changes in the Chapter 13 plan form and procedures and related local rules as they apply in cases assigned to Judge Waites. 

In addition, at the meeting, the Judge and Trustees will provide updates on the conduit procedure, loss mitigation procedure, student loan practice, non-standard plan provisions and proposed confirmation procedures, as well as invite suggestions and comments from the Bar.  

The Charleston meeting will be at the Charleston Courtroom on King Street on November 29, 2017 at 10 AM. Those who wish to attend or send staff to attend should advise Tara Nauful at Tara_Nauful@scb.uscourts.gov by no later than November 27, 2017. Please include the number of people attending from your office in this email. 

The Columbia meeting will be held in the 3rd Floor Courtroom in the J. Bratton Davis United States Bankruptcy Courthouse immediately after the court hearings scheduled for November 30, 2017 (which should conclude on or before approximately 11 AM). Those who wish to attend or send staff to attend should advise Andrew Powell at Andrew_Powell@scb.uscourts.gov by no later than November 27, 2017. Please include the number of people attending from your office in this email.
