Retirement of Chapter 7 Trustee, Robert F. Anderson

The United States Trustee has informed the Court of the upcoming retirement of Robert F. Anderson.   Assistant United States Trustee Linda Barr announced that after 51 years serving as a chapter 7 trustee, Bob will exit rotation on May 31, 2023, and retire.  Bob received his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1974 and was admitted to practice law in South Carolina the same year.    In 1972, Bob was appointed as a trustee for the first time by the Honorable Bankruptcy Referee J. Bratton Davis.  In 1979, Bob became one of the first chapter 7 panel trustees in the District of South Carolina and has continued serving in that role for more than four decades.  Bob was the co-founder of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees and its President in 1985 and 1986.  He has been certified as a specialist in bankruptcy law by the Supreme Court for South Carolina.  Bob has been an integral participant in the bankruptcy process in his long and distinguished career.  We wish him the best in his retirement.
