The chapter 13 plan accompanying this announcement has been adopted as the local form for this district, in compliance with Fed. R. Bankr. P. 3015.1 (effective December 1, 2017). It must be used in all chapter 13 cases in this district on and after December 1. Insofar as is just and practicable, the form must be used in all cases and proceedings then pending. The form plan will shortly be available in a PDF fillable form (along with this Word version) under the Forms/Local Forms/Locally Maintained Court Forms tab on the Court website. It has been provided to the bankruptcy software vendors.
We anticipate circulating revised local rules shortly. There will also be announcements concerning clerk’s office procedures and revisions to chambers guidelines in the coming days. IMPORTANTLY, you should make plans now to attend a November 17 training session.
The training session will be hosted by the Bankruptcy Court, 1100 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC 29201 on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 9 am-12 pm in the third floor main courtroom. Presentations of the new chapter 13 plan, procedures, and the new local rules will be given by the chapter 13 trustees and bankruptcy court staff. Refreshments will be provided, and the Court anticipates that the training will be approved for 3 hours of CLE credit. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Those that cannot attend the training in person have the option of attending remotely, using the WebEx system.
If you would like to attend the November 17 training, please RSVP by Friday, November 10 to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate whether you plan to attend in person or via WebEx. If attending by WebEx, please provide the email address to which you would like the log-in instructions sent. Instructions for logging in to the training via WebEx will be sent out the week of the training to those that have RSVPed.
