Charleston Hearings for January 3, 2018 (Judge Waites)

Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Due to the expected inclement winter weather tomorrow morning in Charleston, Judge Waites’ hearing docket of Chapter 13 and other types of cases will be conducted by telephone. There will be no hearings conducted at the Charleston courthouse located at 145 King Street in Charleston, South Carolina.

For cases which appear to be contested or requiring lengthy testimony, Judge Waites’ chamber staff and courtroom deputies are contacting counsel to determine if a continuance is in order or if the hearing may be held by telephone.

For chapter 13 case matters, Trustee Wyman will appear by telephone and offer his case recommendations. Counsel and parties affected by these recommendations should contact the Trustee’s office today before 2:30 PM to review the recommendations. Counsel and parties who wish to attend the hearings by telephone must contact Agnes Babb (Agnes_Babb@scb.uscourts.gov) and Regina Schmidt (Regina_Schmidt@scb.uscourts.gov) for the call-in information and instructions by no later than 2:30 PM today.

If there are any other questions or issues which need to be addressed, please contact: Tara Nauful (Tara_Nauful@scb.uscourts.gov), Regina Schmidt, and Agnes Babb by no later than 2:30 PM today.
