Selection of Clerk of Court

The Judges are pleased to announce that Jeff Davis has been selected as the next Clerk of Court for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. Jeff is a graduate of Winthrop University (B.A., 1999) and the USC School of Law (J.D., 2002).  He practiced bankruptcy law for three years before joining the Court as a law clerk.  Since 2008, Jeff has served as the Court’s Chief Deputy Clerk and was Acting Clerk of Court from 2012-2013.  

Jeff fills the vacancy resulting from the departure of our current Clerk, Laura Austin, who leaves the Court in mid-August to join the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia in Roanoke as its Clerk of Court.
