New Law Clerks at the Court

Judge Burris is pleased to welcome law clerk David Kershaw to her chambers. David is a graduate of South Carolina State University and received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina. He previously served as the law clerk to Judges Amy W. McCullough and Associate Judge Jacqueline D. Belton of the Richland County Probate Court. David follows Kate Laffitte, who recently left the court for a position with the commercial real estate team at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP in Greenville. David will join Lauren Maxwell, Judge Burris' career law clerk, in the Spartanburg chambers.

Judge Duncan welcomes Nicholas S Hulse as a law clerk in his chambers. Nick is a Virginia native, and graduated cum laude from Bridgewater College in May 2013. Nick graduated magna cum laude from University of South Carolina School of Law in 2016 where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. He also recently completed an externship for the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Nick follows Katherine Rea, who left the court to serve as a staff attorney for Chapter 13 Trustee Pamela Simmons-Beasley, and joins Dawn Hardesty, Judge Duncan’s career law clerk, in Columbia.
