. Several cases have been opened recently using the voluntary petition event without the image of the voluntary petition. If the error is not corrected until after the date of the initial filing, a Court order is necessary to determine the actual date of the filing of the petition. The Court has ruled in similar circumstances that a case is not commenced until the voluntary petition has been filed. It appears that in many recent instances, each filer has been using the same software provider. Please contact your provider if you are having filing problems, and verify the documents filed in each instance immediately by clicking the document number link on the Notice of Electronic Filing (NEF).
