Thursday, October 19, 2017

On October 17, 2017, the United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina announced the indictment of Nathaniel Florin Noble, a/k/a Florin David Olaru, in a three-count indictment involving bankruptcy fraud, false bankruptcy declarations, and criminal contempt of court. According to the indictment, Noble filed a bankruptcy petition in 2017 (C/A No. 17-01526-hb) in which he made false representations under oath. The indictment also states that the filing of the bankruptcy case violated a previous order issued by the Northern District of Georgia Bankruptcy Court which had ordered Noble not to file bankruptcy for a five-year period. Bankruptcy Judge Beth Burris had certified the matter to the district court for consideration of criminal contempt. The United States Trustee and the Internal Revenue Service assisted in the investigation of the matter. USA v. Nathaniel Florin Noble, a/k/a Florin David Olaru, C/A No. 3:17-cr-00989-CRI (D.S.C.).
