The Court is pleased to announce that Jeff Davis has been selected as Chief Deputy Clerk of Court. Jeff is a cum laude graduate of Winthrop University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was an associate with Robinson, McFadden & Moore, P.C. for 3 years representing clients in bankruptcy and related matters prior to joining the Court in 2005.
The Court conducted a nationwide search and received over 70 applications from a diverse group of applicants. 15 candidates were interviewed over the course of several months, and Jeff emerged as the candidate that best met the qualifications sought. Jeff is a welcome addition to the Clerk's Office, both in skill and demeanor. He brings with him experience as an attorney with South Carolina bankruptcy practice experience as well as a dedication to public service and the work of the Court. The Judges and the Clerk of the Court are appreciative of the efforts of an interview committee comprised of one member of the Court’s bar advisory committee, Janet Haigler; two members of the Court’s internal staff advisory committee, Mark Tyan and Pam Miranda; and one Clerk of Court from the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. We hope you will join us in welcoming Jeff to his new position.
