Online Payments for Court Fees through Pay.gov

Effective May 1, 2024, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina will accept online payments for court fees from unrepresented parties.  Pro se parties may pay fees by mail, in person, or through the court’s online payment portal (Pay.gov). 
If paying through the court’s online payment portal, acceptable forms of payment include debit card (preferred method), PayPal, and ACH (electronic payment from a checking or savings account).

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
• DO NOT use the Pay.gov online payment portal to make Chapter 13 plan payments.
• A $53 fee is charged for any failed payments, including those resulting from the entry of incorrect routing or account numbers, or insufficient funds available.
• Attorneys and registered CM/ECF users must settle charges through CM/ECF.
• Attorneys do not use the Pay.gov online payment portal to make pro hac vice payments.
