General information regarding filing a bankruptcy case, fees, forms, trustees, Court locations, calendars, etc. is available on this site at no charge. Also, links are provided on this site to other information including the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Local Rules.

Emergency exceptions to the Court's mandatory electronic filing requirement exist under SC LBR 5005-4. The number to use for an emergency facsimile transmission only upon the failure of CM/ECF and pursuant to the Local Rules is 803-253-3368.


Technical Help Desk
The technical support help desk is for non-CM/ECF procedural questions. If you are having pc, scanner or PDF related issues, please utilize this support avenue. In the event CM/ECF or the Court's website is down during non-working hours, parties may send an e-mail to scbcit@scb.uscourts.gov to alert Court personnel. If the reported inaccessibility to the court's website or CM/ECF is due to the Court's network or servers, the matter will be investigated as soon as possible. In many instances, the Court may already be aware and working on the issue. Subsequent notification of any resolution of the technical difficulty will be relayed using the Court's standard Web Alert system. Court personnel will not respond to e-mails sent to the foregoing address. Parties should continue to refer to SC LBR 5005-4 for appropriate courses of action with respect to emergency filing needs and the inability to file documents.
