Filing preferences.
The following procedure will provide prompt delivery of relevant information to chambers and Court staff for cases assigned to Judge Burris: If a party is a CMECF participant (see Operating Order 08-07) and unless specifically directed otherwise, requests for Emergency Hearings, Proposed Joint Statements of Dispute, Proposed Joint Pretrial Orders, Proposed Orders Due from Court, Continuance Requests/Motions, Withdrawals and Reports of Settlement are to be filed on CM/ECF using the corresponding events (Deadline to request continuance or notify Court of settlement or withdrawal in order to remove a matter from the docket: 10:00 a.m. one Court business day before the hearing. Exhibits. The original plus two copies should be provided by delivery to courtroom staff at the location where the trial or hearing will be conducted, unless the parties make different arrangements with courtroom staff in advance. For adversary proceedings, unless otherwise directed, exhibits and copies should be delivered at the time the joint pretrial order is filed.
