The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina has implemented Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technology in Columbia, Charleston & Spartanburg. The WLAN will allow respectable connection speeds over limited areas within each location.
As of July 1, 2011, a computer user agreement is not required to access the Court's wireless network although a login and password are required . Attorneys may receive the login and password from a Courtroom Deputy. This login information changes on a monthly basis.
Wireless Devices in Spartanburg, will follow the District Court's order that governs the use of wireless communication devices in the Spartanburg Court. Click on this link to see the District Court's order.
- Use of these capabilities will be governed by an Administrative Order of the Court (attached hereto) that outlines a policy for use of all wireless communication devices in courtrooms, attorney conference rooms, and during 341 meetings of creditors held in Bankruptcy Court facilities.
