Bar Meetings on New Chamber Guidelines for Judge Waites

Judge Waites invites members of the bankruptcy bar and their staff to a meeting to review the new Chambers Guidelines on Thursday April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Columbia courtroom, and in the Charleston courtroom on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM. The meetings will cover many of the changes to the Chamber Guidelines, including the new Chapter 13 Attorney’s Fees,  § 362 Settlement Orders, and Loss Mitigation/Mortgage Modification Procedures, and should last approximately 1 hour.  Chambers is currently obtaining CLE approval from the S.C. Commission on CLEs for these meetings.
Judge Waites would also like to receive input on other matters of interest to the Bar to address at the meetings. If there are certain topics that you would like discussed or suggestions regarding procedures, please submit them to Andrew Powell at Andrew_Powell@scb.uscourts.gov by April 17, 2017 for the Columbia meeting and April 21, 2017 for the Charleston meeting.
Attendance by telephone will be considered for counsel or paralegals whose offices are located more than 50 miles from the court location and should be requested by contacting Regina Schmidt (Regina_Schmidt@scb.uscourts.gov) and Agnes Babb (Agnes_Babb@scb.uscourts.gov) no later than two business days prior to the scheduled meeting.
